“CrackedMacScreen? I’ve got a cracked Mac screen!”…

Christine called us up on Wednesday about her daughter’s 13-inch Macbook (apparently a lot of daughters these days are cracking their screens!). Christine lived in Connecticut, so wanted to do the Ship-In Program. We explained that we would overnight her a laptop box, she would overnight the laptop box back to us, we would perform the repair, and overnight the Macbook back to her. Three-way overnight shipping is included in the $299 price.
Christine thought that it sounded wonderful, so we started the process. She received the laptop box yesterday, placed the Macbook inside with a check made out for $299, and dropped off the box at FedEx. We received her computer today, fixed it in about an hour, and overnighted it back to her. Christine thought the process was “really painless”. So did we Christine, so did we.

If you want to bring your boyfriend/girlfriend/bodyguard to the repair, we’re totally cool with it…

Shannon gave us a call two days ago about her 13-inch white Macbook that had a broken screen. She had taken it to the Apple Store a few months ago but couldn’t afford the repair. She stumbled upon our website while doing a Google search and decided to give us a call. We scheduled the repair for today at a Starbucks by her house, and her husband tagged along for moral support (and also to make sure that Shannon would be safe!).
The repair went perfect, and both Shannon and her husband were extremely happy with the whole process. And the fact that we are all really normal guys.

It doesn’t matter how old your Mac is or how small its screen, we can repair it…

We got an email from Julia in New York City a couple of weeks ago about her broken screen on her 12-inch Powerbook G4. She found our website on Google and decided to send us an email to inquire about how much it would be to replace her screen. We emailed her back and explained that for older Macs, sometimes it is more affordable to replace a broken screen with a used (but in perfect condition) screen. In her case, it was a lot cheaper to use a used screen. S
We scheduled the repair for today in New York City and we met at the Starbucks on 35th and 8th. 30 minutes later, her 12-inch Powerbook G4 was fixed and she could finally get back to doing work on it!

Hopefully you’re more careful with your Macbook AFTER the repair than before it…

We got a call yesterday from Tim at Temple University. He had called us last September about the broken screen on his 2008 white Macbook. He had his cash together, and wanted to go through with the repair. He told us that he broke his computer by throwing it into his mesh gym bag and knocking it around with some books inside. Definitely a recipe for disaster.
We met him at the Laptop Lounge of the SAC (after he got lost for 10 minutes) and his Macbook was repaired in 30 minutes. He was thrilled to say the least.

If we find pieces of wood stuck behind your screen, we can probably tell why it is broken…

We did a repair a couple of weeks ago for a guy named Billy whose son Jimmy had broken his screen. Well Billy referred us to Tom, one of his coworkers who had a broken his Macbook Pro’s screen. We gave Tom a call, and agreed to meet at his house today at 4pm.
While performing the screen replacement, we discovered what appeared to be shards of broken wood between the screen and the back of the computer. Tom jokingly said that it was from when he used the screen to hammer something in their shed (haha!).
After 40 minutes, Tom’s screen was replaced and the wood debris had been cleared away.
