Jeff called up our repair tech Mike in San Diego and told him about his Macbook Pro that had seen better days. He thought that his nephew had maybe stepped on it, bending the bezel and making the computer pretty hard to close. While Jeff tried to diagnose the problem, he cracked the screen. He told Mike that he could definitely do the repair himself, but he was kind of sick of looking at the computer and just wanted it fixed.

Since we already had the parts for Jeff’s computer in Philadelphia, Jeff opted for our new “ship-in” option. We overnighted him a FedEx laptop box with a prepaid label inside. He shipped us his Macbook Pro, and we repaired it same-day and overnighted it back to him. The three-way overnight shipping was free and all in all, it was two days of transit.

Jeff was thrilled to have his computer back in working order, and probably more excited that he didn’t have to do it himself.

Not too long ago, Shreya made the mistake of falling asleep with her Macbook right next to her. When she woke up in the morning and went to check her email, she found her computer on the floor with a broken screen. She was so annoyed knowing that this mishap was going to cost her a pretty penny. She shared what had happened to her broken laptop with several of her friends. Fortunately, one of them show a sign of ours posted on campus. Soon after she took Shreya to the bulletin board and pointed it out to here. A few minutes later they were on the phone and setting up a time to meet.

Since San Marcos is a bit of a hike from San Diego, we met Shreya at a Starbucks roughly halfway in Rancho Penasquitos. After having a quick look, we were able to get started with repairing her Macbook screen. Within 45 minutes, we were finished. Shreya was delighted by the convenient and fast and affordable repair we offer. Sweet dreams, Shreya. Remember to keep that Macbook on a table instead of your bed.

A Cracked Macbook? It wasn’t me…

Laura, a teacher in the Santee School District, gave us a call the other day and said one of her students returned their classroom-issued Macbook with a shattered screen. The culprit must have been pretty smooth when returning their Macbook that day, as Laura was unable to discover the shattered screen until several days later.

She found our service through several online searches. After a short conversation we arranged a time for us to meet and repair her computer screen within 30 minutes. Ronya loves Google…and so do we! She gave us a call after making several Google searches for local companies that repair computer screens. She shared with us some of the search combinations she tried: “San Diego computer repair,” “Macbook computer repair screen.” “fix my Macbook screen.” “Apple Care cracked screen coverage.” “fix computer screen,” “cracked LCD repair.”and “screen repair in San Diego.” Finally, she found our site after typing in “San Diego Macbook screen repair.” We came up first!

Within minutes she was on the phone with us and describing how her LCD screen had cracked that morning. We briefly explained our service and set up an appointment for later that evening. …your computer screen when it falls from the desk. Apologies – that may be the worst reference to a Simon and Garfunkel song in the history of CrackedMacScreen. And apologies to Cecilia for beginning our post like this. Moving on. Cecilia gave us a call last week looking for someone to service her broken Macbook Pro screen. As the intro tried to convey, Cecilia had accidentally knocked her laptop off the side of her desk. Seconds later she opened it up to find a shattered screen.

After several Internet searches, she finally found a company that was local, could repair her computer screen in less than an hour and would charge much less than the Apple Store.  She called shortly after and we arranged a time to meet at the Escondido Kalmia Public Library.  Within forty-five minutes we had Cecila and her newly repaired Macbook Pro screen on their way.
