Briccio emailed us a few days ago about his 15-inch 2.16ghz Macbook Pro. He said that he didn’t think the LCD was “cracked”, but the image was cracked and distorted. We emailed him back, explaining the Ship-In Program. He emailed us on a Tuesday, so we overnighted him a laptop box that day.

He received it on Wednesday, and dropped off the laptop box at FedEx using the included overnight label. We received it on Thursday, and Briccio received it this morning. All three-way overnight shipping was free. He emailed us today to say “You guys provide a wonderful service. Cheers”.

Cheers to you too Briccio!

A crack may start off small, but it WILL get bigger until you can’t use your Macbook anymore…

Rae-Ann saw our Septa train ad at Temple University within a week of her cracked the LCD on her white 13-inch Macbook. The crack wasn’t really that bad but she knew from everyone’s stories online that it would get worse. She didn’t want to take the chance that she wouldn’t be able to use her Macbook some day, so she researched us, read the Repair Blog, and decided to give us a call tonight.

We met her in about 45 minutes at her apartment in Clifton Heights, and while watching Family Guy we replaced her damaged LCD. The crack was barely noticeable, but it definitely would have gotten worse. Better safe than sorry!

Please don’t put your Macbook on the floor, especially near your deskchair…

Megan called us up today after her boyfriend cracked the screen on her 13-inch white Macbook. She had it charging on the floor, and he sat down at her desk while lifting up the back of the chair. The leg of the chair pressed down in the center of the screen, and you can probably figure out what happened next. Luckily, Megan found out about us from one of her friends that saw our Septa train ads.

Once we explained the repair process, Megan wanted to get her Macbook fixed that day. So, we met her at her South Philly apartment an hour later, and her screen was good as new in another 30 minutes. Obviously, Megan won’t be putting her Macbook on the floor anymore!

Justin Bieber is ok we guess, we don’t exactly “hate” him…

Bonnie called us today about her daughter’s white Macbook that had a slightly broken screen. Bonnie admitted that it wasn’t that bad, but she was worried that it would get worse and her daughter wouldn’t be able to use it for school. She saw our ad at the King of Prussia Mall, and called us this morning to set up a repair.

We met her at her home in Newtown Square and got to work. We first noticed that Bonnie’s daughter’s Macbook had a Justin Bieber desktop background on it. Then we noticed that it also said “I Hate Justin Bieber”. No comment on whether CrackedMacScreen.com Repair Techs like Justin Bieber,

Long story short, Bonnie’s daughter hates Justin Bieber and we love replacing cracked screens on Apple laptops. And Bonnie now loves CrackedMacScreen.com too!

Unibody Macbooks and Macbook Pros have black keys…

Lisa emailed us last week about the cracked screen on her 15-inch 2.4ghz Macbook Pro Unibody. We emailed her back to find out what was cracked, the glass or the LCD. She confirmed that it was the LCD, and we told her that the price is $499, and it would involve removing the glass, removing the display assembly, replacing the screen, and putting the glass back on. We agreed to pick up her Macbook Pro from her at the Moore College of Art and Design and drop it off later in the day.

All went according to plan until we went to pick up her computer, when we saw that she didn’t have a “Unibody” Macbook Pro after all, she had an aluminum previous generation Macbook Pro. The repair would be $100 less @ $499. She was obviously happy!

Lesson learned for both of us. For us, to always make sure that we know what kind of computer we are fixing. For anyone reading this blog, make sure you know what kind of computer you have. Unibody Macbooks and Macbook Pros have black keys. End of story!
