When you want us to do your repair, could you pick a day when it’s sunny?

Marian called us yesterday morning about the cracked glass on her 13-inch Macbook Pro Unibody. One of her friends had knocked the computer off of a chair, and although it didn’t actually break the LCD, the glass was shattered. She, being from California, called up her parents to tell her the bad news. But luckily, she had already researched our service and was able to lessen the blow by explaining that although her computer was out of commission for a few days, she wouldn’t be out an arm and a leg with the repair.
We told her that repairs in New York City are only $20 more than repairs in Philadelphia, since we come up to NYC for the day. She was delighted, and we scheduled the repair for Monday. Marian’s classes were done at 3:30pm, so we met her at her dorm (in the nasty nasty rain!). Seriously, the weather couldn’t have been worse. But you know what makes the day better? A fixed Mac! An hour after meeting up with Marian, the glass was replaced on her 13-inch Macbook Pro Unibody and she could get back to designing. She is a design student at The New School, afterall.

It doesn’t matter how old your Mac is or how small its screen, we can repair it…

- Starbucks on 35th and 8th -
We got an email from Julia in New York City a couple of weeks ago about her broken screen on her 12-inch Powerbook G4. She found our website on Google and decided to send us an email to inquire about how much it would be to replace her screen. We emailed her back and explained that for older Macs, sometimes it is more affordable to replace a broken screen with a used (but in perfect condition) screen. In her case, it was a lot cheaper to use a used screen. S
We scheduled the repair for today in New York City and we met at the Starbucks on 35th and 8th. 30 minutes later, her 12-inch Powerbook G4 was fixed and she could finally get back to doing work on it!

We can meet you during your lunch break…

- Barclay’s Capital -
We got a call from Tabitha in New York City this week. She had broken her Macbook about six months ago but never got around to getting it fixed. She had taken it to the Store and they told her it would be around $800 to fix, so she ended up buying an iMac and just setting the Macbook aside. She graduated from Davidson University last year and just started a job at Barclay’s Capital on 49th and 7th in New York City, so she needed her computer to work.
While out with some friends, she mentioned that she had a Macbook with a broken screen. Luckily for her, her friend is Kenya, the girl from Davidson that we met last month when we repaired her Macbook in Carlisle, PA. Kenya told her about us, and Tabitha called us that night.
We scheduled a repair for today at 12:00pm, during her lunch hour. We took the Bolt Bus into NYC and the repair was done within 30 minutes. Remember, we do repairs in New York City now, and prices are just $20 more to cover the bus fare.

“This was the first time I complained and someone did something about it”…
- New York City, NY -
- Starbucks on 35th and 8th-
Karri is another person that we found on Twitter’s Advanced Search. She broke her white Macbook about 2 weeks ago, and was devastated to find out from the person at the Store that a repair for her broken screen would cost “between $500 and $800″. She wondered why they couldn’t have given an exact amount!
We emailed her and @replied her for about a week, and scheduled the repair when we told her that we were in New York City for the day doing repairs. She met us at the Starbucks on 35th and 8th, and with Starbucks patrons looking at us strangely, her repair started and ended in 30 minutes. When laughing about being found on Twitter, she said “This is the first time I’ve complained and someone did something about it. You guys seemed too good to be true, but are completely true.” Glad we could help.

Because of popular demand, we now perform repairs in New York City…
- New York City, NY -
- Fashion Institute of Technology-
While doing a Twitter Advanced Search, we saw that Shannon at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City broke her Macbook Pro by dropping it into a basket of clothes. Even though this is the softest reason for breaking a Macbook Pro we’ve ever heard, we believed her. After about 2 weeks of back and forth @replying, talking to her mom on the phone, and having her email us pictures of her bent and broken Macbook Pro, we scheduled the repair. Because the repair was in New York City and a member of our Philadelphia branch did the repair, it was an additional $20 for the Chinatown bus fare.
Well, that was the plan, anyway. The Chinatown Bus never came, so I drove to New York for the repair. We are devoted to making people’s days with repaired Macbooks and Macbook Pros!
So, after an hour and a half of driving, we met her at her dorm and her computer was good as new in 30 minutes. She couldn’t have been happier.
