One Macbook or two, we’ll repair however many screens you’ve broken…
- Melrose Park, PA -
We received a call from Karin a couple of weeks ago about her daughter’s broken Macbook screen. She was very interested in the repair, but wasn’t ready yet. She then called us when our Philadelphia branch was closed for a week, so our Detroit Tech told her to email us and we would be able to schedule the repair when we were open once again.
Once getting the email, we scheduled the repair for today in Melrose Park. Her daughter had broken her screen and got a new computer. And they actually have another Macbook with a broken screen that they will be getting fixed in the next week or two! Hopefully they’ll be careful when they are fixed.

If you are interested in a repair and aren’t ready for a repair, we’ll probably text you once a month until you are ready…

Meridith called us last September and told us about her broken screen on her Macbook. She had called her mother in New York and told her the bad news, but told her that she found us from a flyer on campus so she had a solution. Unfortunately though, she didn’t have the money saved up for the repair. She told us that she would give us a call back later. Since she never told us her name, I wrote down “girl with little girl voice” (you’ll get why later) on a post-it note and posted it on my external monitor.
Every month or so, we would text her and let her know about 3 day “vacation” sales that we were having, and she would reply that she wasn’t ready yet. Miraculously, she texted us yesterday and said that she was finally ready. The funny thing was that we never knew her name, so after probably sending 20 or so texts back and forth to schedule the repair, we had to say “What is your name by the way?”
After meeting her at Kardon apartments on Temple’s campus, we joked about the “little girl voice” thing, and she was laughing that people say that she has a small voice all the time.
30 minutes later, her screen was fixed and she could stop going to the Temple U Tech Center to do work.

Your entire family (including your dog) can watch us do repairs if you want…
- Jenkintown, PA -
We got a call this week from Billy in Jenkintown. His son Jimmy (these sound like fake names, no?) had broken the screen on his white Macbook and needed it to be fixed. We scheduled the repair for today, and were greeted by the entire family in the living room, on the edge of their seats waiting to watch the repair process.
After a short (and very talkative) 30 minutes, Jimmy’s screen was replaced and the dog was asleep. All in a days work for the CrackedMacScreen.com crew.

Eggs over easy, hash browns and… a broken Mac screen :(

Yes, sometimes for a college student Sunday mornings can be rough. For (we’ll call him) John, a junior at (we’ll call it) San Diego Sunshine State University of California, this particularly Sunday was not one he will look back on fondly. We won’t go into too much detail because he wasn’t able to go into too much detail but all we can say is he woke up in the morning and his screen looked like it does below.
Fortunately, his roommate had seen several of our fliers around campus and was able to point him in the right direction. John gave us a call later that afternoon and we were able to get his screen fix just in time for finals week. Good luck on exams to John and all the other students at SDSSUC!
Perhaps it’s appropriate to mention our warranty policy at this time. If John were to wake up and find his Macbook screen cracked again (knock of wood), we would fix it for just $100. Not a bad deal, eh?

Even if you’re tiptoeing, a small step on your Macbook may still cause damage…
- Los Angeles, CA via Craigslist -

Samantha, a freshman at UCLA, is an early riser. She attributes this to the fact that she loves watching the sun come up. Of course, she also mentioned she has an 8AM class to get to three times a week and that class just so happens to be on the only end of campus. Several mornings ago she was trying to quietly get ready for class, paying extra special attention as to not wake up her roommate, when all of a sudden she heard a slight crack from the laptop that was left on the floor the night before. One loud scream and a few choice words later, both were up and looking at the broken screen that had resulted.
Wanting to get her computer fixed soon but not wanting to take it to the Apple store, Samantha turned to Craigslist. A few clicks later, Samantha discovered our site and learned that we have recently started to service the Los Angeles area. Every Friday we travel north from San Diego to make repairs in LA. After a couple of phone calls with Samantha, we were able to arrange a time to meet outside Cafe Synapse in North Campus. 45 minutes later her laptop was good as new.
