Brittny saw one of our Septa platform ads in University City and did a triple-take. Her bezel (the frame around the screen of her Macbook Pro) was cracked all the way through and the keyboard was bent at an incredible angle. She had taken it to Best Buy where they told her she would be paying $1,000 for the repair. With the bezel replacement, keyboard replacement, and nearly an hour spent cleaning red nail polish off of her screen, our same-day repair with pickup and dropoff was only $429.

We met Brittny at her sorority house, picked up her computer (because of the extent of the damage, it was impossible to do it in front of her) and dropped it off a few hours later. She was so excited to be able to use her computer as a laptop again! And for less than half the price of what she thought she would be paying!

Jeff called up our repair tech Mike in San Diego and told him about his Macbook Pro that had seen better days. He thought that his nephew had maybe stepped on it, bending the bezel and making the computer pretty hard to close. While Jeff tried to diagnose the problem, he cracked the screen. He told Mike that he could definitely do the repair himself, but he was kind of sick of looking at the computer and just wanted it fixed.

Since we already had the parts for Jeff’s computer in Philadelphia, Jeff opted for our new “ship-in” option. We overnighted him a FedEx laptop box with a prepaid label inside. He shipped us his Macbook Pro, and we repaired it same-day and overnighted it back to him. The three-way overnight shipping was free and all in all, it was two days of transit.

Jeff was thrilled to have his computer back in working order, and probably more excited that he didn’t have to do it himself.

Seeing exposed wired coming out of the back of a broken display assembly is never a good sign…

Alexander emailed us about a month ago about the cracked bezel on his 17-inch Macbook Pro. He had been using it even though the bezel was broken, but he needed it to be fixed desperately so he could get his schoolwork done. He decided to get the repair done after the holidays, so he emailed us again last week. We ordered his screen assembly and a member of the Repair Team met him at his house in West Chester to pick up his computer. Because his old screen would be swapped into the new assembly, we decided that having the Macbook Pro overnight would allow us to do the repair in the safest way possible.

The next day, the Macbook Pro was fixed and dropped off at his house. He was extremely happy that he could use his laptop as a laptop again!
