Good thing we have an ad up at King of Prussia Mall…

We got a call today from Jen B. who was out shopping at King of Prussia Mall. She had recently purchased a brand new 17-inch Macbook Pro for herself and given her 10 year-old son her old 15-inch 2.16 Ghz Macbook Pro. He was busy making a Father’s Day video for his dad (that alone should tell you how long the computer has been broken) when he walked right into the side of a coffee table and hit the Macbook on the edge. The screen was broken and the Father’s Day video never got finished. This was in back in June.

His mom knew it would be expensive to repair. She put off taking the Macbook to the store until today. She found out that it would be $750 to repair! She said “That’s just way too much.” When she went to leave the mall, however, she spotted our brand new ad at the entrance/exit of the Plaza side of King of Prussia Mall, in front of the Verizon store, next to Lord and Taylor.

She gave us a call, we told her it would be $349 to fix, met her at a Starbucks near the mall 30 minutes later, and had the computer good as new in another 30 minutes.

We received a call from Zach A. from Philadelphia University last week. He told us that his Macbook Pro was underneath a chair’s leg (why?!) when someone sat on the chair. Obviously, the leg of the chair cracked his screen. It wasn’t a very serious crack (you can barely see it in the center of the picture below), but like a chip in a car’s windshield, it will get worse over time. It was especially inconvenient because Zach is studying industrial design and needs a clean screen for Photoshop.

CrackedMacScreen.com to the rescue! We met him at his apartment, fixed his computer on his 2 game-at-a-time beer pong table, and he was back to using Photoshop in less than 45 minutes.

“You guys need to open up a branch in New York City”…

We received a call from Wyatt G. from New York City last week. His college roommate had tossed him the remote to change the channel so they could watch some football, but unfortunately for Wyatt, his roommate doesn’t exactly have the arm of Tom Brady. The remote hit his 15-inch 2.4 Ghz Macbook Pro square in the center of the screen.

After a week of scouring the Internet for a local service (or at least one that didn’t seem “shady” as Wyatt put it), he stumbled upon CrackedMacScreen.com. Even though the branch he called is based out of Philadelphia, driving as close as he could would still save him hundreds of dollars over the big guys.

We met him an hour closer to New York City in Roebling, NJ. We replaced his damaged screen in 40 minutes and he was driving back to New York within the hour.

Snow and Macbook Pros don’t mix…

We got a call and an email from Joseph at University of Pennsylvania last Friday. He had a 15-inch 2.5 ghz Macbook Pro that had a broken screen that he wanted to get fixed. He dropped it in the snow last winter and had been using the Macbook Pro with an external monitor for the last 8 months or so.

We scheduled the repair for today at 12pm, met him at his apartment on UPenn’s campus, and completed the repair in 45 minutes. He looked like a kid in a candy shop with his basically brand new Macbook. He can finally use it as a laptop again!

Tim emailed us from King of Prussia. He had a TV antenna hanging from a window that happened to be directly above his 2.33 ghz Macbook Pro Aluminum. The antenna fell off the window and cracked his screen, making his computer completely worthless. He needed the computer fixed, and fixed FAST.

After our return email, he called our toll free 888 number and a member of our Repair Team was dispatched to his house. Within 15 minutes, the repair was underway. In another hour and a half, the Macbook Pro was good as new. Now that’s fast service, the CrackedMacScreen.com way.
