If you can see your reflection in your screen, it’s glossy. If you can’t, it’s antiglare…

Aaron is a Sophomore at Drexel University, and his girlfriend recently hopped of of his bed with his Macbook Pro and dropped it on the floor of his frathouse bedroom. He slowly opened up the screen, and it was too late! The LCD was crushed, and so were his dreams of editing video for his finals in a week. He knew that he had to get it fixed, and get it fixed fast!

He found us on Google, and gave us a call. The whole repair process went really smoothly except for the fact that he didn’t know whether his screen was antiglare or glossy. Turns out he had a glossy, and we replaced it for him without an issue! He was so happy that he could get his work done for his final push of the the semester.

Brittany has been dealing with a broken bezel on her 15-inch 2.4ghz Macbook Pro for the last few months while being a student at Denison University (like Kenya!). She decided that now that she is done with school for the summer, she absolutely needed to get it fixed. Brittany did a little research online and found us, and inquired about how much it would be to replace the bezel on her Macbook Pro as well as the LCD, because she said that when she opens and closes the computer, the screen flickers and gets lines across it.

We told her that if she were to go to the Apple Store, it would be in the ballpark of $800-$900, and it would probably take as long as a week. Even though she is home for the summer, she really needs her laptop to be in her posession at all times, so this wasn’t an option. We told her that we would be able to replace the whole screen assembly for $549, which included a local repair at her home in Yardley. She was delighted, and we scheduled the repair for today. About an hour after we got to her house, her computer was back in action!

Jason emailed us last night at around 11:30pm about the cracked glass on his 15-inch Macbook Pro Unibody. He was leaving the University of Pennsylvania for the summer on Tuesday, and needed his computer fixed before then. We exchanged several emails back and forth, and before we knew it, it was 1:30am!

We set up a repair at his frat house this morning at UPenn. After about an hour, his computer was perfect again and ready for summer vacation. I think we need a vacation too…

We had been talking to Chrissy from Drexel Hill for the last couple of days. One of her friends stepped on her Macbook Pro a couple of months ago, and she had been using it essentially as a desktop computer with an external monitor. She saw one of our SEPTA train ads a week ago, and decided to give us a call.

We worked out that the perfect place to meet would be 30th Street Station because we had a repair in New York City earlier today, and since we take the Bolt Bus from 30th Street, meeting there would make the most sense.

So Chrissy finally got her Macbook Pro’s screen replaced, but not without a little bit of trouble. She hadn’t charged it in a long time, and the station didn’t have a lot of power outlets, so at the beginning of the repair and after the repair was complete, we had to sit on the floor and turn on her computer!

Ben called up the Ship-In Program line on Monday night about the incredibly cracked glass on his 2.53 Ghz 15-inch Macbook Pro Unibody. He had no idea how it ended up as broken as it was, but he needed it fixed (obviously!). He wanted to do the Ship-In Program, and we set it up.

He was overnighted a box on Tuesday, he received it on Wednesday and overnighted it back to us, we received it on Thursday, and he had it back on Friday. Did we mention that the three-way overnight shipping via FedEx Priority Overnight is free?
