Michelle sent us a Repair Form on Friday. She had shattered the glass on her 13-inch Macbook Pro, and was really concerned about getting it fixed. She didn’t want it to get worse, so she needed a fast repair. She saw that at one time we performed screen repairs in New York City, so she asked us if we could meet her in Manhattan. I informed her that yes, at one time I replaced screens locally in NYC, but I moved from Philadelphia to DC in September so it’s impossible for me to some up to NYC for one Macbook Pro repair. I told her that the Ship-In Program is the best thing for her, and it would be even quicker than waiting for a local repair from the other shops in her area.
I emailed her a Two-Day Air label and instructions for getting it shipped out. She sent it out on Monday and we received it today. We performed her repair today, emailed her with a before and after picture, and she paid us through PayPal. Pretty easy process, if we do say so ourselves.

Always make sure you know what kind of Macbook you have before sending it in…

Dustin called us up and told us about the cracked screen on his 13-inch Macbook. He said “I’ve got an older Macbook”. We said, “Oh, you mean one of the older white Macbooks?” He said “Yea, yea”. So we set up the $299 ship-in repair for his 13-inch white Macbook. We emailed him a FedEx overnight label and he sent us his Macbook. Turns out, after opening up the box, that Dustin actually had a 13-inch Unibody Macbook with cracked glass. Luckily for Dustin, the repairs are the same price and we always carry parts for every model in stock.
We actually didn’t tell Dustin about this until his computer was shipped back to him. The price was the same so it didn’t really matter, but it was pretty funny anyway. We definitely learned a lesson that day!
Nursing students need their Macbook screens fixed, but on the cheap!

Leah called us up a week or so ago about the broken LCD on her white unibody Macbook. Her phone cut off halfway through our conversation, so we explained the pricing and process over text message. Leah is a nursing student and she needs her Macbook to be fixed so she could study for exams. She has had to deal with a broken screen for 6 months, and decided that she had enough!
We scheduled her repair for the following week and met her at her house in Adams Morgan after one of her classes. Her Macbook was fixed in about 30 minutes and she spent $349 instead of $600+tax+2 weeks of waiting time. She was obviously thrilled!
We’ve now replaced the glass on a Macbook from Idaho!

- Philadelphia, PA -
- Via Sun Valley, Idaho -
Karen emailed us from WAY outside of our service area in Sun Valley, Idaho. She had broken the glass on her 13-inch Macbook Unibody a few months ago and it had become unbearable to use anymore. The glass was falling all over the keyboard and she had even cut her fingers while trying to clean it! We explained that two-way overnight shipping is included in the cost of the repair, so she only had to pay $299 to replace the glass on her Macbook.
We emailed her an overnight label and she took her Macbook to FedEx and used the prepaid label to overnight it to us. We received it the next day, repaired her computer in an hour or so, and had it shipped back overnight too! She was super thrilled with the service, especially that it was out of her hands for only one and a half days!
Please don’t put your Macbook Unibody in your backpack. You WILL break the glass!
- Lansdale, PA -
Jeff is a college student who lives in Lansdale, PA. He had recently cracked the glass on his 13-inch Macbook Unibody by carrying it in his backpack with a bunch of textbooks. He had used it for about a month but was sick of staring at the shattered glass, so he looked us up online and sent us an email.
We met him at his home in Lansdale and had his glass replaced for $299 in about 45 minutes.
