We got a call from Danny from Temple University today. A shelf had fallen on top of his Macbook (!) and cracked his screen and bent the entire frame. He had heard about us from a friend of his, who ended up being a friend of ours. We told him that his 13-inch Macbook would be $299 to repair, and we would see about the frame once we did the repair. We scheduled the repair for later today, at the Starbucks in front of the Target on City Ave.

By the time he came for the repair, he had bent the frame back himself, and we had to bend the screen frame a bit during the repair. It looked perfect after we were done, and Danny couldn’t have been happier. He needs his Macbook when he dj’s at Pub Webb as DJ MOFO.

Macbooks with fixed screens make great Christmas presents…

We got a call about a month ago from Kate. She had seen our ad at the King of Prussia Mall (in front of the Verizon store, at the exit/entrance of the Plaza) and had some questions. She had just taken her Macbook to the Store and couldn’t afford to get it fixed through them. We told her that for her 13-inch Macbook, it would be $299 for the repair. She really liked the price but didn’t know if her parents just wanted to get her a new computer or not (I wish I had parents like her!)

She called us back and told us that she got a new computer, but wanted to get the old one fixed anyway to give to her dad for Christmas (hopefully he doesn’t read this blog!). She called us a month later (after getting paid) and wanted to get the repair done. We met her 45 minutes later in the library at Saint Joseph’s University and her Christmas present was ready to go in 25 minutes.

If you Tweet about your broken or cracked Macbook screen, we’ll probably find you…

Shari tweeted her daughter had broken the screen on her laptop. Because we constantly check Twitter to see if people have said anything about breaking or cracking their screens, her tweet popped up. We tweeted in response offering our assistance.

We met her daughter, Emily, several hours later at the Corner Bakery at Irvine Spectrum Mall in Irvine. She was a high school student that was in need of a fast repair – college applications were due soon.

So if you are on Twitter, do a search for CrackedMacScreen.com and follow all of the Repair Team. Either way, if you break your screen and you tweet about, we’ll find you [insert suspenseful sound effect here]!
