While doing a Twitter Advanced Search, we saw that Shannon at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City broke her Macbook Pro by dropping it into a basket of clothes. Even though this is the softest reason for breaking a Macbook Pro we’ve ever heard, we believed her. After about 2 weeks of back and forth @replying, talking to her mom on the phone, and having her email us pictures of her bent and broken Macbook Pro, we scheduled the repair. Because the repair was in New York City and a member of our Philadelphia branch did the repair, it was an additional $20 for the Chinatown bus fare.

Well, that was the plan, anyway. The Chinatown Bus never came, so I drove to New York for the repair. We are devoted to making people’s days with repaired Macbooks and Macbook Pros!

So, after an hour and a half of driving, we met her at her dorm and her computer was good as new in 30 minutes. She couldn’t have been happier.

James called us after seeing one of our easily recognizable flyers on campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was really interested in getting the cracked screen of his 13-inch Macbook replaced. He had already told him mom about the crack, and about CrackedMacScreen.com.

A member of our Repair Team met him at his apartment and the repair went off without a hitch. His mother was extremely happy that we were able to repair his screen at such a low price.

A photographer can’t do work on a Macbook Pro with a broken screen…

We got a call from Dan Devine, a professional photographer from Reading, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. He had a broken Macbook Pro and needed a quick fix. He had been researching how to do it himself, but worried that 1. he wouldn’t know what screen to buy, 2. he might buy the wrong screen, and 3. he might mess up his top of the line computer even more.

We scheduled the repair for today in Pottstown, since it was a little bit closer for us and he does work at the Hill School frequently.

We met him at the Hill School and had his 2.6 Ghz Macbook Pro back in action in about a half an hour. Picture perfect, if I do say so myself.

If you are in high school and can’t be home during the day, you better hope your mom can…

We received an email from Spencer in Princeton, New Jersey. He had found our site on Google, and was wondering how much it would be for one of the members of our Repair Team to come to Princeton for the repair, since it’s outside of our free service area. We told Spencer that it would be an additional $10 for gas, so he told his mom and they scheduled a repair for the next day.

We came to find out that this is the second time Spencer has broken his Macbook. The first time, someone kicked a soccer ball that ricocheted off the wall and hit the back of the screen. They ended up sending out his computer and we happy with the result, but with finals coming up, Spencer needed his Macbook fixed FAST.

We drove up to Princeton while Spencer was in school, repaired his black Macbook while having a wonderful conversation with his mom, and he came home to a good-as-new Macbook. Now let’s hope his finals are that easy.

Cory called us up this morning and said that his friend had seen our flyer on University of Michigan’s campus. He had gone ahead and checked out our website and already knew the steps to take, and was comfortable with the price. He simply wanted to make an appointment as soon as possible. So, we scheduled one for this afternoon. A member of our Repair Team met him at his fraternity house on campus, and repaired the Macbook in the house’s kitchen, sticky beer floors and all.

The repair was done in 45 minutes, and Cory couldn’t have been happier.
