Tom F. gave us a call last night from New York City. His white Macbook’s screen was cracked. I asked him what happened, and he said “Well, looks like my Macbook doesn’t bounce!” He said that not only aren’t there any reputable screen repair companies in New York City, but getting an appointment at the Store takes nearly a week and repairs take another week!

He said that he was going to take the Chinatown bus from New York City to Philadelphia. He arrived in Philly at around 1:30pm, and his Macbook was repaired in 30 minutes.

We received a call last night from Stan W. from Turnersville, NJ. He was interested in having his white Macbook’s screen replaced and scheduled his repair for this morning. We met him at a local Starbucks at 9am (on a Saturday), and started to replace his screen.

Stan told us that his two daughters were fighting over the computer and in the tussle, the Macbook was dropped. Adding in the fact that they were on top of the bed during the fight, it was obvious why the screen was shattered. In 25 minutes, his daughter’s computer was back to normal and she got an early Christmas present: the gift of a brand-new screen in a semi-brand-new Macbook.

We received a call today from Eric B. at 1:45pm. He sounded incredibly down on the phone. We could tell that he was pretty sad about the state of his Macbook. Apparently, he was out late last night, came home, went to sleep, and woke up laying on top of his Macbook. He opened it up, and…you know the rest.

We zipped over to Temple U., met him in the Laptop Lounge of the SAC at 2:30pm, and had his computer back in action by 2:50pm. Just in time to go home for the weekend.

We got a call from a very friendly dad today. His daughter is a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University and had dropped her Macbook last night, shattering her screen. To make matters worse, she had an important paper that she was writing that she couldn’t access because her computer was unusable.

After coordinating schedules, we met Erin at her dorm on 54th and City Ave 45 minutes later and saw her Macbook for the first time. It was definitely the most damaged that we’ve ever seen. She had an actual impression on the front of the screen, as if someone hit a baseball into it.

Within 30 minutes we replaced her obliterated screen, and she was back on the computer finishing her paper once we were done. In Erin’s words “This was just so convenient! You really are a lifesaver.”

We got a call this morning from Lillian R. at Temple University. She was carrying her black Macbook when she walked into the side of a table. In fact, this wasn’t the first time she had broken her screen. She dropped it a year ago and paid $900 to fix it. Luckily for her, she had seen our flyers all over Temple’s campus and knew who to call.

A member of our Repair Team met her in the Laptop Lounge of the SAC and had her computer back to normal AGAIN. Her mom was there for moral support and she was extremely thankful that we could repair her screen for 1/3 the price of what they paid before.
